Original photo of something beautiful

This is a photo I took recently of the waterfall at my house. This is beautiful to me because it provides a calm and peaceful atmosphere and it is a place I go to when i want to relax.

My favourite piece of architecture

The Empire State Building is one of my favourite buildings as it is somewhere I have always wanted to visit. It looks aesthetic throughout the day and especially at night and is a piece of architecture that stands out.

Creative Work

This creative piece was a school assessment for visual arts. It was inspired by the impressionist period where conventional ideas were challenged. This period was influenced by the invention of a camera, tube paints and flat brushes. There was an industrial Revolution and there were artificial pigments, bringing newer and brighter colours. There was also intellectual development, part of this being the theories of light and the light spectrum. "impressionist fascination with light and movement was at the core of their art. Exposure to light and/or movement was enough to create a justifiable and fit artistic subject out of literally anything" - Mark Hayden. They avoided oil in their paints so light would not be absorbed but "bounce off" and illuminate their work. They started using a white undercoat to get the true colours.
